Responsibilities

Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.

Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.

Lead the design and development of cloud infrastructure offerings and platform tools to ensure security, scalability, and reliability.

Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use of leading-edge technologies.

Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloud.

Identify areas of improvement and prioritize initiatives aligning with business goals and objectives.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in cloud technologies and provide recommendations for the adoption of new tools/technologies.

Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for the cloud.

Required

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

Hands-on experience with one or more cloud computing platform providers AWS/Azure/GCP

Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform

Proficiency with programming languages like Golang, Python, Java, JS/TS etc and understand software development best practices

Experience in development of REST API interfaces (SpringBoot, gRPC, Swagger, Flask), SQL and No-SQL technologies

Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring tools Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus etc

Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, shift left methodologies and DevSecOps processes

Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight

Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Preferred

Experience implementing cloud infrastructure and related automation

Certifications in target areas (Cloud/Kubernetes/IaC etc)
