Responsibilities

Creating new features and building tools from conception through release to ensure customers have an exceptional experience

Designing and development of highly scalable software that runs on the Akamai infrastructure

Developing software to enhance engineering productivity by creating frontend and backend for vulnerability management and build and test infrastructure

Partnering with internal cross functional teams to translate requirements into solutions to meet business objectives

Implementing new features, enhancing and optimizing existing features

Contributing ideas and knowledge to the process-improvement sessions team to facilitate continuous improvement of products

Required

3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent

Good programming skills and an interest in learning new technologies

In-depth knowledge of Object Oriented programming and test-driven development in Go (our preference) / Python / Java

Hands-on experience with service-oriented architecture, REST, microservices, databases, and SQL

Experience with common CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins) and UI frameworks

Excellent communication skills, self-driven, positive, and an effective team player
