Responsibilities
Lead engineering services for network hardware and software.
Plan system maintenance and support, develop system management strategies.
Plan and implement necessary hardware and software upgrades proactively.
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure and services.
Ensure the operation of a variety of network environments.
Maintain and configure Cisco products and services.
Provide support and management for multiple network infrastructure systems.
Provide precise, detailed documentation for change control process and technical documentation repository.

Required
7+ years of experience as a hands-on Network Engineer building, implementing, and supporting network hardware and devices
Extensive experience with Cisco routing & switching (EIGRP and BGP protocols)
Experience building and configuring ACI within a Data Center
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science (Required) Or Relevant experience in network engineering beyond the minimum required work experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a 1-1 ratio i.e. one year of relevant work experience equals one year of required education.
7 years hands-on systems engineering experience. (Required) And Prior experience in healthcare industry preferred.
Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Engineer and build and maintain network platforms and services.
Integrate network products into existing network technologies.
Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, controllers
Set and manage deadlines.
Engineer and deploy network infrastructure systems design and configuration.
Participate in design of Disaster recovery planning.
Assist in the creation of test plans and scripts for back-up and recovery solutions.
Assist in the development of network solutions.
Performs hardware and network diagnosis.
Capable of devising ways to accomplish a difficult purpose; ability to recognize a problem and construct an effective solution compatible with overall company operations.
Demonstrate understanding of standard networking protocols, virtual environments, and hybrid cloud.
Maintain professional expertise through continuing education at conferences, seminars, user group meetings & review of current literature.
Pursue industry standard technical certifications.
Provide technical support and consultation to IS staff.
Actively participate in the Department's ITIL processes
Participate in the Incident Management process; proactively work to resolve Incidents and meet service requests; document relevant data on requests and resolutions in agreed upon timeframe.
Escalate incidents according to procedures; convert incidents to change requests as needed.
Participate in the Change Control process; complete change tasks and update them with relevant information and status changes.
