Responsibilities
Answer phone calls and follow regulations in processing faxes
Gather relevant information from insurance carriers and patients
Confirm eligibility and benefits
Organize medical files and referrals
Enter data into an information and authorization system
Oversee pre-certification of procedures for insurance company approval
Communicate with healthcare facilities, patients, and insurance providers
Maintain excellent attendance, especially during training
Meet daily goals and complete daily production trackers
Multi-task with multiple monitors and applications
Utilize work guides and resources
Maintain 97% quality in audits
Achieve 98% production rate
Maintain an error rate of 0-5%

Required
Candidates must live in McAllen, TX area
Microsoft Office proficiency (MS word, MS teams, MS excel)
2 years of medical experience in authorizations or claims processing practices in managed care setting.
Knowledge of customer service, medical terminology, and operation of office equipment.
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish
