Responsibilities
Ensure effective supervision of the design, tendering, implementation, and closure of infrastructure projects.
Provide quality assurance and ensure compliance for technical aspects of the project.
Prepare and assist in the finalization of reporting requirements, filing system and communication material related to the infrastructure projects.
Follow up on project schedule, coordination of activities, and problem-solving on-site.
Supervise and monitor physical and financial progress against the work plan.
Prepare variation orders, review testing results, and ensure compliance with safety measures.
Liaise with stakeholders, ensure project implementation compliance, and handle project close-out documents.
Document lessons learned, monitor project implementation, and support communication materials development.
Ensure donor branding and visibility requirements are met.

Required
Minimum of 7 years (with high school diploma) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in civil construction projects including public buildings and infrastructure projects is required.
Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc), database packages, and web-based management systems such as ERP
Experience in the environmental requirements in construction of public buildings.
Very good AutoCAD drafting and drawings skills.
Very good skills in Microsoft Project planning software.
Excellent planning skills.
Professional experience in reports writing, email writing, preparation of Meetings minutes, etc.
Fluency in both English and Arabic languages is required.
Valid membership in Local or International Engineering Association is required.
Preferred
Knowledge and familiarity with UN and/or UNDP procedures is an asset.
Project management certification is an extra asset.
Knowledge of the local rules and regulations for construction in East Jerusalem
Certification in Health and safety for Infrastructure projects are desired.
Understanding Hebrew language is an asset
A university degree in Civil Engineering or relevant related field will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement
