Responsibilities
Support the tracking of upcoming RFP solicitations and preparation of RFP response packages for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid projects across the U.S.
Conduct analytical research to help in identifying untapped markets for new power marketing opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with procurement roles at LSEs and third-party intermediaries
Collaborate across multiple departments to develop customized offtake products and pricing
Stay current on market, industry, economic, and competitive trends
Engage in industry groups and follow regulatory changes
Be technically astute with the full life cycle of utility solar and energy storage project development
Monitor PPA markets and provide intelligence to inform development and offtake strategy
Support in the creation of creative deal structures
Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for Senior Management
Support contract negotiation and execution
Maintain an understanding of relevant regulations for regional wholesale energy generation and transmission
Develop marketing materials and proposals for external-facing parties

Required
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, engineering, sustainability, finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in the regulatory/commercial energy sector
Knowledge on the major offtake entities in HQC’s key target markets
Robust knowledge of U.S. utility-scale solar development, power market, customer segments, and evolving regulatory frameworks of key markets
Requires the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and trends influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy and energy storage
Ability to quickly step into new tasks and adapt to new circumstances in a dynamic environment
Experience successfully operating in a geographically dispersed organization is a plus
Excellent interpersonal, time management, communication, and relationship building skills
Willing to travel up to 30% of the time in North America and possibly more
