Responsibilities
Design and develop medical devices from the research and concept phase through requirements and specifications to manufacturing and post-launch support.
Perform hands-on and simulated testing for design verification and test method development using analytical techniques.
Perform basic algebraic and geometric formulas and standard engineering data to support design configuration.
Contribute to prototype, tool, and fixture testing following fabrication to ensure that they meet specifications.
Create and edit engineering technical reports, work instructions and method and process validation related documents. Inspects and oversees testing of prototypes, tools, and fixtures after fabrication to ensure that they meet specifications.
Collaborate with engineers in electrical, firmware, software, test, and other fields to build innovative solutions and ensure requirements and specifications are met.
Participate in the formal release process for medical devices satisfying quality and regulatory requirements.
Help to plan projects and communicate status of plans to program management team.

Required
B.S. degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) or related technical field.
1 years of experience in Product Development Engineering (or equivalent with advanced degree).
Ability to working in a lab testing environment involving cadavers.
Effective team interactions and strong cross-functional collaboration experience
Ability to travel up to 10% domestic US and Internationally, with overnight stay.
Ability to work on-site in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Preferred
Experience in an R&D / product development environment.
Experience designing and testing medical devices.
Experience in managing external suppliers/developers and conducting prototype builds.
Hands-on experience working with power tools and cadavers.
