Responsibilities

Ensures alignment of Añasco manufacturing operations with strategic plans and budgets. Collaborates with GN site leaders and Value Stream for IOLs to establish short and long-term priorities. Monitors performance and drives results to match plans and budget.
Leads cross-functional collaboration to achieve global service and supply goals for Añasco product lines. Directs plant resources and collaborates with functional leaders to align production, materials, engineering, QA, technical services, and finance. Implements continuous improvements and stays updated on new technology.
Manages resources to manufacture quality products in compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and EHS&S requirements. Ensures regulatory compliance and adherence to internal EHS&S and quality policies and procedures.
Collaborates with IOL Value Stream Team in new product development process. Directs Añasco operations to achieve effective new product and technology transfers into manufacturing. Stays informed about industry developments and leverages resources for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Creates accountable and participative work environment with open communication and recognition. Develops organizational structure and skills for successful strategy execution. Coaches senior leadership and actively participates in Surgical Vision Leadership team. Demonstrates global alignment through effective relationships with peers.

Required

Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in an FDA regulated environment, with expertise in areas such as engineering, manufacturing, technical support, purchasing, validation, or other closely related production fields.
Extensive knowledge and experience in quality, compliance, and regulatory areas, including FDA, OSHA, ISO, etc.
Proven ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently exceeding or meeting expectations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and motivate individuals at all levels of the organization including VPs, Directors, Managers, supervisors, as well as exempt and non-exempt employees.
Strong background in general management practices, with current knowledge of organizational leadership and development.
Strategic thinker who can provide a tangible vision and successfully execute it throughout the facility.
Proficient with financial skills such as budgeting, variance analysis, and long-range planning. Basic math and statistical knowledge.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
Fluency in English, including the ability to read, speak, and write effectively.
Proficiency in supply chain related computer software and systems.
15 percent travel domestically and internationally

Preferred

Experienced in an assembly operation under a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement scenario
Fluency in Spanish language
Master's degree in a technical discipline or business administration
