Responsibilities

Technical Lead for Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) projects and remediation work in Michigan.
Develop remediation work plans, evaluate remedial options, design and implement remediation strategies and technologies.
Create conceptual site models for remediation sites.
Assist in engineering design of vapor intrusion mitigation systems.
Write reports, manage data, evaluate projects, and coordinate activities.
Conduct site visits, field work, and interact with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

Required

A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or equivalent.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
Three to five years of related project/environmental engineering experience.
Knowledge of Michigan’s Part 213, LUST program, program guidance, and environmental regulations.
Proven experience in environmental consulting with a focus on LUST projects.
Experience with both active as well as in-situ remediation of soil, groundwater, and vapor media.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER 29 CFR 1910.120 training with documented yearly refresher course a plus.
Excellent communication, analytical, organization and time management skills.
Ability to meet project deadlines and established budgets.
Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Ability to work in various settings and climates.
Ability to work flexible hours and be available for some travel.

Preferred

Field experience (subcontractor and field oversight, aquifer testing, etc.)
Previous vapor intrusion design, installation oversight, and commissioning experience
