Responsibilities
Direct clinical trauma services for assigned area of responsibility for BSWH.
Recommend and implement strategic and operational plans for trauma care aligned with BSWH business objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership, medical staff, and nursing staff to coordinate trauma care services and initiatives.
Evaluate and monitor care provided to trauma patients and lead trauma center quality and performance improvement activities.
Develop and maintain required clinical, administrative, performance improvement, and statistical analysis reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Identify possible criterion deficiencies and communicate obstacles to corrective action.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, processes, and systems to deliver trauma care for the assigned area.
Lead the selection and coordination of trauma education for the trauma center or assigned trauma service.

Required
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
3+ years of nursing experience in trauma center, surgical critical care, or related area
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Course Nurse (ATCN) required
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
Degree: A Bachelor's degree is required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and (BLS) Basic Life Support Certification
Registered Nurse License
Must have a current ATCN or current TNCC certification
Must have either a current PALS or current ENPC certification
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Experience in a leadership role preferred
Experience collaborating across multiple departments and clinical disciplines within a large, complex healthcare organization preferred
