Responsibilities
Communicating the product vision and sharing product expertise with the agile team/s.
Setting priorities effectively, i.e., prioritizing the backlog and ensuring that the team understands why the stories are in a specific order to maximize the team’s output.
Elaborating/publishing user story requirements in a timely fashion.
Clarifying user story requirements/answering team questions quickly and concisely.
Creating clear, testable acceptance criteria for stories.
Participating in scrum team meetings (grooming, planning, review, etc.).
Driving the agile team/s to break stories down into smaller stories that comfortably fit in a sprint and have business value.
Actively collaborating with agile team/s to identify ways to increase velocity.
Engaging internal stakeholders and external contacts as needed to provide direction to the team independently of the Product Manager/ Principal Product Owner.
Drives maximizing the business value and quality output of the agile teams.
Providing guidance to other Product Owners while providing training. Acting as a mentor to junior Product Owners.
Taking on product management activities as needed and performing other duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in software development tasks
5 to 8+ years of related work experience
Ideal industry experience includes bill payment software, electronic payments, or Fintech solutions
Preferred
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Strong ability to understand technical issues at a high level
Demonstrates a track record of accountability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate as a change agent, influencing and driving action organizationally
