Responsibilities
Develop software solutions with stakeholders across the enterprise, including steering committees, executive leadership, project managers, researchers, developers, and operational staff.
Advise on appropriate data collection tools; design and program data collection databases as needed.
Lead the development, implementation and documentation of data quality assurance procedures, including drafting code for data queries.
Advise PIs and study coordinators on case report form design, database choice and structure to ensure data collection tools are optimized for eventual analysis and storage.
Coordinate with the CLARiTI study team and/or research study site on design of data collection, quality control, data transfer, data management, and report generation.
Provide tools for researchers in navigating clinical information systems and accessing healthcare and clinical data sources, ensuring strict confidentiality.
Maintain a proactive and forward-thinking approach to data management and data quality that includes a global and local equity-focused lens that will help the NACC team fulfil its commitment to equitable access and use of the data generated from our research.
Maintain a thorough understanding of NACC’s operational processes, research database, software infrastructure, and data management best practices.
Translate between technical and business domains to support the highly complex set of applications serving ADRD researchers.
Develop, coordinate, and facilitate technical solution trainings, workshops, communications initiatives, and protocols to support the CLARiTI research program goals.
Provide senior-level project management oversight for the NACC Statement of Work (SOW) within the ADRC Consortium for Clarity in ADRD Research Through Imaging (CLARiTI).
Ensure alignment of project activities with consortium objectives to advance biomarker research for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD).
Facilitate effective communication and coordination to support the mobilization of CLARiTI project operations and activities.
Lead the collaboration with investigators and the operations team to outline project objectives and oversee the generation of reports and queries to adhere to project deadlines.
Develop project plans and oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure alignment with project goals.
Support the CLARiTI Program Manager in ensuring timely completion of critical deliverables related to the CLARiTI initiative.
Lead the production of periodic study, external board, and/or annual grant reports with timeliness and accuracy.

Required
Master’s Degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Public Health or related field AND two to three years of relevant (data-specific) work experience in data management or clinical study coordination, with a focus on managing and manipulation of complex datasets in a healthcare, IT, or research university setting.
Possess a strong understanding of software and database tools to prioritize technical solutions, along with experience in usability and workflow testing.
Experience in developing, implementing, and managing electronic data collection tools and databases, including expertise in REDCap.
Proven ability to navigate complex environments and effectively manage diverse stakeholder needs.
Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to data privacy and security principles.
Experience overseeing the software development lifecycle, including solution analysis, architecture and design, systems integration, data conversion and migration, environment management, build processes, and deployment planning and execution.
Exhibit excellent professional judgment in managing change and collaborating with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
Exercise independent judgment in handling restricted or confidential information, adhering to organizational policies and regulations governing data access and usage.
Strong written communication, presentation, technical documentation, user liaison, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical staff effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with a diverse range of personalities and building successful partnerships.
Comfortable working and organizing projects within MS Teams and SharePoint environments.
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and fostering an inclusive working and learning environment.
Preferred
PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Public Health or related field.
Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM), a plus.
Experience working with medical neuroimaging, including radiotracers.
Experience working on research projects and with Human Subjects, including IND/IDE-regulated studies.
