Responsibilities

Manages a team of Project Engineering Managers to ensure on schedule launch of quality products within cost targets.
Maintains critical communication with Subaru Corporation (SBR), Product Suppliers, Product Management, Product Sourcing, Accessory Marketing, and other Subaru of America (SOA) departments as needed.
Manages a group of Project Engineering Managers to determine previously launched accessory applicability to select new model vehicles.
Produces and maintains appropriate project status communication documents for assigned vehicles.
Maintains responsibility for the project management/development of accessory programs for assigned vehicles from concept through approval.
Supports the Accessory Marketing Manager by providing accessory related resources for promotional video and photography in advance of launch.
Supports the Inventory Planning and Distribution Manager through communication of new accessory approvals and expected availability in advance of launch.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and relevant experience required; advanced degree such as MBA preferred.
Detailed understanding of the product development process.
Product engineering and development experience, product manufacturing knowledge, negotiation skills, quality control management, strategic planning and analysis, general business management, budget control, and general sales/marketing knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective supervisory skills to maximize employee productivity and job satisfaction.
BA/BS with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
