Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage social media channels and website content.
Create and develop engaging visual storytelling for short-form digital and social content.
Shoot video and still content, edit videos, retouch photos, mix sound, and produce production-ready content.
Generate ideas, produce a high volume of content, and record voiceovers as needed.
Build an authentic online presence for the organization's public awareness campaign.

Required

Bachelor's degree in video production, filmmaking, art, history, public health, media, public policy, journalism, design, marketing, communications, or related area and / or equivalent experience / training
3+ years of directly relevant experience
Prior experience creating and developing social medial content across platforms, including a deep knowledge of the specs and requirements for each. Eye for engaging visual storytelling, specifically regarding idea conception and art directing for short-form digital and social content
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of online video, digital and social media ecosystems
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the TikTok and Instagram platforms, hashtags, sounds, algorithms, and post formats
Superb communication skills online, in person, and internally with cross-disciplinary teams. Not afraid to speak up if an idea doesn’t work, coupled with the ability to bring a better idea to the table and work with the broader team to bring that idea to life
Thorough skills to create clear, easy-to-navigate, informative, accurate, well-designed, and functional web sites that provide web content consistent with the organization's message and in keeping with management directives and client objectives
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute social media and video campaigns
Excellent project and time management skills and the ability to learn quickly and accommodate rapid change. Acute attention to detail
Work effectively as a member of a small team. An ability to take direction and work independently
Able to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Required
Deep enthusiasm for experimenting with content and strategy.

Preferred

Demonstrated Drupal, WordPress, HTML, or digital content management systems experience
Practical knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics and Google Analytics and web analysis tools. Well-versed in web analytics, banner ads, and mobile apps
Experience mixing and editing sound
Experience with how titling and thumbnails can affect a video's performance. Proficiency in photography and basic photo retouching
Knowledge or experience in the birth/reproductive justice space
Experience creating, editing, and color-grading video content using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar programs
3+ years of experience producing mobile video and working on social media platforms
3-5+ years of experience working with social/digital creative
