Responsibilities
Develop and enhance demand forecasting models leveraging advanced AI techniques.
Influence inventory placement, store replenishment strategies, and supply chain operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
Mentor and coach other data scientists, and communicate with product and engineering teams.

Required
Master's degree in computer science, Statistics, Optimization, or related field + 7 years' experience in a machine learning/deep learning/machine learning engineering related field OR PHD with minimum of 3+ years of industry experience.
Technical expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical analysis, machine learning engineering and software development.
Proficient in data mining, machine learning, and deep learning packages in Python/Pytorch/Keras/Pytorch.
Experience working with large data sets and cloud computing (Hive, Spark, PySpark, GCP, or Azure).
Proficient in coding SQL, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
A proven track record of leading innovation such as Medium Blog, patents, or conference presentation is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
Good communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical associates.
Experience providing technical and architectural guidance in a technical lead or architect role.
Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years' experience in an analytics related field OR Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics related field OR 6 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
Preferred
Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
