Assistant Resident Engineer

Responsibilities
Inspecting all work elements to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, permits, and safety regulations.
Providing construction QA/QC services, coordination with inspections, and ensuring strict compliance with regulations.
Reviewing project plans, preparing contract administration documentation, and ensuring work compliance with building standards.
Preparing reports, participating in inspections and project reviews, and coordinating subcontractors and vendors.
Reviewing contractor payments, project plans for constructability, and preparing necessary documentation.
Monitoring and inspecting contractor work, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating reviews and responses.
Providing oversight in equipment commissioning and preparing final project documentation and close-out.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil, or Architectural Engineering or similar field from an accredited college or university
Minimum 5 years of experience inspecting construction work
A valid New Jersey Driver’s License
OSHA 30-hour certification
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong working knowledge of the NJDCA Construction and National Electrical Codes
