Responsibilities

Assist in the support and deployment of backend functionality and APIs for online content-rich properties.

Help investigate production issues and provide technical support to clients and publishers.

Required

Some hands-on experience in Java with a basic understanding of Object-Oriented Design (internships or academic projects are acceptable).

Basic knowledge of J2EE, Spring Framework, Web Services, REST API, JSON, and XML parsers.

Understanding of how web applications work, including knowledge of the HTTP protocol, request/response cycles, and session management.

Familiarity with one or more application servers, preferably Tomcat.

Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with an RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL (coursework or projects are acceptable).

Experience working in a UNIX and/or LINUX environment (coursework or projects are acceptable).

Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with project managers and engineering teams.

BS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
