Responsibilities
Perform both remote and onsite monitoring of network systems, manage configurations, and oversee operations.
Install, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot wired and wireless data network systems and equipment.
Create network diagrams, project plans, and documentation to meet RMF and ATO requirements.
Activate, configure, and maintain Taclane encryption devices.
Access, troubleshoot, and configure Juniper switches, routers, and Aruba wireless access points and controllers.
Utilize government-provided tools like JUNOS Space, Cisco Prime, and Wireshark to manage and monitor data and video networks.
Recommend and implement system changes and operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
Quickly detect and resolve network component failures and errors. Perform routine network maintenance and evaluate new system regulations.
Work independently and as part of a team, leading others and collaborating with various departments to solve problems efficiently.
Be available outside normal business hours to troubleshoot and resolve network issues, implement new configurations, and assist other departments.
Develop and review network documentation, including SOPs, PPS, RFCs, and RMF.

Required
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science or an IT-related field.
IAT-II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, Security+ CE, GSEC, GICSP, SSCP, CySA+).
Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) required within the first six months of employment.
Five years of IT-related experience preferred.
Proficiency with layer 2 switch technologies, layer 3 routing, and wireless network technologies.
Strong documentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
Good communication skills and experience with STIGs and creating STIG checklists.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess a Secret Clearance.
Preferred
Juniper and/or Cisco certification preferred.
Five years of network management experience preferred.
Experience With Cisco, Juniper, And Aruba Networking Devices Preferred. In-depth experience with Juniper devices highly desired.
