Responsibilities
Design and execute data migration strategies from on-premises systems to Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
Assess existing data structures and develop plans for efficient migration, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define migration goals, and implement best practices
Identify tools and methodologies to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks
Develop documentation, including migration plans, technical specifications, and post-migration reports
Provide guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders on data migration best practices
Troubleshoot migration issues and address any technical challenges that arise during the process
Work team of SMEs to develop architecture and design drawings for migration effort
Assist other SMEs in the preparation of Installation guides for an enterprise environment
Provide input into migration project schedule

Required
Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
Must have or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Progressive IT experience (9 years) including at least five (5) projects in technical areas included in this job description
Strong understanding of database systems, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
Proven experience with data migration projects, particularly involving the migration of on-premises data to Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
Proficiency in ETL tools and techniques, such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar technologies
Experience creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and how-to guides
Preferred
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification, or significant experience in lieu of
Experience working with Navy customers preferred
