Responsibilities
Support and adhere to the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care® by protecting the environment, health, safety and security of employees, contractors, carriers, visitors, customers, and neighbors. Comply with the requirements of the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System. Support behavior-based safety (NERT) through safety contacts and supporting EHS observers on the team.
Ensure that capital investment projects comply with Corporate Technical Guidelines & site/corporate EHS guidelines.
Organize, plan, supervise and manage all activities associated with minor capital investment to achieve project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Provide technical expertise to implement project engineering requirements and represent the engineering department as a technical authority on minor capital projects.
Provide support to manufacturing and process development teams in project-related activities. Devise cost-saving opportunities to support business needs.

Required
BS/MS in Chemical or Mechanical or Electrical engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience with capital project engineering within a chemical plant environment
Working knowledge of capital project implementation process from initial realization of the project through to commissioning in the field
Understanding of chemical unit operations, function, and design of plant equipment
Direct experience in communicating with technical, professional, and managing tradespersons & contractors
Computer skills – ability to learn/work with SAP, MS Office
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are required
Ability to learn/apply trouble shooting skills
Well-developed and practical knowledge of occupational and process safety requirements (LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, PPE, etc.)
