Responsibilities
Develop process design basis, including equipment sizing and selection, mass balance, URS, and instrumentation for control of processes
Provide input to industrialization strategies and rationale for critical process parameters
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for development and validation, health authority inspections, and investigations
Lead or supervise groups/task force in planning engineering, investigational, definition, and process validation runs
Execute life-cycle design and industrialization of processes and products for Phase 3 and licensed products
Provide technical assistance for process troubleshooting and health authority inspections
Expertise in upstream process unit operation design used in biotech/vaccine manufacturing
Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, process simulation/scheduling, and CFD
Ability to work in cross-functional teams, strong analytical skills, and effective communication

Required
Bachelor's or Undergraduate Degree in chemical or biochemical engineering
Advanced degree in sciences with experience in large-scale process equipment design, scale-up implementation, and validation
Knowledge of Good Engineering Practices, Quality by Design, Design Space, and Process Control Strategies
Preferred
Experience in equipment start-up, qualification, and validation preferred
