Responsibilities

Working with District Manager and supervisory team, manage the day-to-day operations of the district, executing on strategies to accomplish planned work, respond to customers and gas emergencies, ensure compliance and safety, and drive productivity and process improvements.
Review workload analytics, timesheets, and other data to ensure productivity and compliance. Maintain performance records to ensure proper productivity and quality of work.
Manage IMS/OMS inspections program for the district and ensure timely completion of the program.
Manage district financials, and work with appliance service and gas distribution department to provide analysis and metric to ensure that the business is meeting its financials goals and objective.
Provide Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual budgeting forecasts for Gas Distribution and Appliance Service Departments for O&M and Capital.
Partner with procurement, materials management, facilities etc. to ensure that purchase orders, CAPEX and OPEX projects are identified, planned and executed.
Lead the local safety and security council, and work with various departments across Gas ops and PSEG services corporation to improve overall safety and security of the district and district employees.
Take on direct supervision / scheduling of craft personnel. Ensure technical development of personnel; train, appraise and evaluate work performance. Ensure work practices are safe and quality driven.
Lead process improvement by participating in Gas, Utility and company-wide initiatives. Participate in District, regional and other meetings to represent Gas Operations. Participate in Safety meetings; reinforce corporate messages and practices.
Identify, evaluate and implement processes and systems to support short- and long- term goals and objectives.

Required

BS Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) and 4 years of relevant engineering work experience
Experience in SAP, Access, PowerPoint and Excel
Experience in project management
Must demonstrate a working knowledge of utility and or gas operations best practices and regulations
Demonstrated effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, demonstrated planning and organizing skills, must be adaptable and results oriented
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Must possess and maintain a valid US Driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Safety sensitive; DOT testing required
Microsoft office suite expertise required

Preferred

A master’s degree in engineering, MBA or PE License
Familiarity with gas utility best practices, Federal, NJ Administrative, and ASME pressure piping codes and Company tariff
Experience with gas utility facilities e.g. pipelines, regulators, meters
Knowledge of SAP and running Financial reports
Lean Six Sigma certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
