Responsibilities
Collect, compile, analyze, and present data related to international trade in products subject to import injury investigations.
Work collaboratively with teams of Economists, Industry Analysts, Auditors, and Attorneys to share technical knowledge regarding U.S. and foreign industry data and U.S. import data.
Coordinate the collection of information through questionnaires issued to U.S. producers, importers, purchasers, foreign manufacturers, and exporters.
Analyze and compile data from questionnaires and secondary sources, presenting the data accurately and objectively summarizing the record compiled in the Commission's proceedings.
Interact frequently with company officials and legal counsel regarding questionnaire responses and information obtained during the course of investigating complaints of injury to U.S. industries from import competition.

Required
Bachelor's degree in any field or at least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, purchasing, economics, political economy, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
U.S. citizenship or national status
Successful completion of a background investigation
Completion of a one-year probationary period
Registration with Selective Service if applicable
Specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 or GS-09 level in conducting studies related to trade, analyzing trade data, and presenting findings
For GS-09 level: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education, LL.B., or J.D.
For GS-11 level: Specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 level, Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or LL.M.
Ability to design surveys, analyze primary and secondary data, resolve data issues, and communicate effectively
Knowledge of microeconomic, macroeconomic, and industrial organization concepts
Practical knowledge of data and quantitative methods of analysis, and proficiency in using spreadsheets and analytical tools
Familiarity with international trade remedy laws
