Responsibilities

Create and execute a national sales plan
Negotiate profitable stocking distribution agreements with national and large regional wholesale distributors
Maintain a thorough opportunity pipeline through HubSpot CRM platform
Proactively seek new business by developing relationships with potential clients
Work with existing accounts to grow the share over time
Work in unison with Regional Sales Managers to regularly visit customers’ branch locations
Perform regular on-site demonstrations and hands-on training to customers and end-users to show features, benefits, and the proper use of equipment
Be aware of market conditions, competitive intelligence, and national/regional pricing
Build long-term, trusting relationships with customers, end-users, and trade organizations
Attend trade events, as required

Required

Experience working for a manufacturer selling into wholesale distribution, preferably in one of the following industries: Pressure cleaning, floor preparation, concrete/masonry tools, generators, or pro contractor tools
Experience in B2B Outside Sales
Experience creating national and implementing the plan through a network of Regional Sales Managers
Utilizing a CRM program (bonus points if it’s HubSpot)
The ability to be on the road regularly with overnight travel
The ability to proverbially roll up your sleeves and emotionally invest in this business
3 to 5+ years B2B Outside Sales experience
3+ years in the construction equipment, building products wholesale distribution
Ability to competently demonstrate products and equipment
Good knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with CRM software (HubSpot highly preferred) and an ERP system (SAP highly preferred)
Excellent communication and negotiations skills
Understanding of sales cycle
