Responsibilities

Supervise the designated program area under the direction of the Program Director.
Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating employees and/or volunteers.
Maintain and improve participant involvement and retention.
Stay informed about current trends in the field of youth development programs.
Demonstrate knowledge in YMCA programs and volunteers.
Utilize administrative skills including computer skills, personnel management, organizational skills, scheduling, and record-keeping.
Exhibit exemplary human relation and motivational skills.
Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family, and YMCA staff.
Obtain and maintain certifications in CPR Heartsaver, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, and other required training.
Maintain appropriate program documentation and statistical reporting.

Required

Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge in the areas of YMCA programs and volunteers.
Administrative skills needed for this position include computer skills, personnel management skills, organizational skills, scheduling, and record-keeping skills.
Exemplary human relation and motivational skills are needed.
May be available to work as a member of the YMCA Management Team when needed.
Excellent communication and organizational skills needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family, and YMCA staff.
Maintain current certifications in CPR Heartsaver, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, New Employee Orientation, and other department and/or Branch designated training, or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
Administrative skills including the ability to maintain appropriate program documentation and statistical reporting.
