Responsibilities

Designing and developing SSIS/SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems for processing

Building data transformations with SSIS including importing data from files, moving data from one database platform to another

Designing and developing SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to be used during the ETL process; Testing and preparing ETL processes for deployment to production and non-production environments

Designing, implementing, and maintaining database objects (tables, views, indexes) and database security

Conducting Data flow performance testing and supporting system and acceptance testing including the development or refinement of test plans

Supporting resolution of incidents and execution of approved change requests; Conducting problem root cause analysis and isolating system problems utilizing diagnostic and system management tools (i.e. system dumps and system/component traces, monitoring tools, vendor problem databases)

Maintaining security hardened baseline configurations and deploying security (patches), software maintenance (patches) and new software releases and supporting products infrastructure as directed

Supporting the engineering, integration, implementation, and operation of a virtualization strategy to include Database server consolidation, storage consolidation, and automation; Automation includes seamless Database provisioning, and non-disruptive workflow/application/data migrations

Maintaining up-to-date documentation of all procedures, infrastructure diagrams, system configuration and baseline standards, implementation plans, system back out plans, system recovery plans, maintenance plans, system upgrades, and all system changes

Required

Proficient with ETL tools and possesses deep understanding of SSRS and SSIS as well as experience working with SSIS packages

Strong experience in database performance monitoring and tuning

Experience performing database consolidation projects and systems integration development

Knowledge and experience of all other standard SQL Server DBA and SQL developer qualifications

Experience with hands-on development .NET Core-based application in C# in a medium to large environments

Must possess knowledge and proficiency developing on Microsoft platforms, frameworks, and tools (ASP.NET, ASP. NET MVC, and C#) and Microsoft SQL Server

Experience with Windows Services, Web Services and API development

Experience working with other teams to consolidate database instances and storage using capacity and performance analysis tools to identify underutilized instances, duplicate copies of data and identify associated server, network and storage resources that can be -right sized-
