Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and development of E-ISAC software applications working in an iterative, agile-like product delivery methodology.
Lead production application incident resolution including troubleshooting, impact assessments, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
Establish, communicate, and govern technical coding, configuration, object/library reuse, web-design, and application environment standards to applicable design and development team members on E-ISAC and vendor services staff.
Establish and communicate the technical design for software application solutions verbally, in written narrative, and with diagrams, and create reference design patterns to ensure consistent implementations.
Work closely with the product manager and team members to deliver tasks on time and with high quality.
Lead pre-deployment, deployment and post-deployment activities to ensure successful deployment.
Lead incident resolution process to help trouble-shooting, identify issue resolution and impact assessments.
Lead design product/process and code review discussions both as a presenter and reviewer.
Develop, maintain and support application solutions and application enhancements to meet customer needs, inclusive of...
Actively participate in quality assurance and end-user testing defect resolution, and application deployment and migration processes.
Providing thorough application technical documentation and metadata in a timely manner.
Properly and completely configuring and version controlling code and configuration files in a shared-development team environment.
Configuring and maintaining assigned application security at the user, profile, group, privilege, and related levels.
Designing, configuring, and operating monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Troubleshooting application issues to resolution as needed.
Participate in regular internal system and security audits and checks to ensure updated system documentation and proper user access control.
Obtain and maintain relevant technical certifications.

Required

A Bachelor’s of Science degree, equivalent or higher in computer science, software engineering, data science, systems analysis and design, or a related discipline is required. A combination of relevant experience and/or relevant certifications may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands on experience developing, configuring and administering Salesforce applications and environments inclusive of base Salesforce objects, knowledge management, flows, APEX classes, APIs, sandbox refresh, and community (web) sites.
One or more Salesforce certification from the Salesforce Architect or Salesforce Developer role path.
Experience using and implementing REST APIs.
Integration of Salesforce data across disparate applications using API-based, services-based, and/or ETL-based approaches.
Experience with Python programming, or equivalent.
Experience using Linux command line.
Experience working with virtual container environments such as Docker, or equivalent.
Experience using requirement repository and code version control tools and repositories, such as Microsoft DevOps, Git, or equivalent.
Familiarity with directory services, single-sign on (SSO), and two-factor authentication (2FA) for application login and credential management uses and email domain name service (DNS) protocols and setup, such as DKIM, SPF, and DMARC – particularly from an application interoperability perspective.
Experience leading others in an iterative, agile, and/or DevOps software develop methodology.
Understanding of and utilization of software maintenance, reuse, version control, code-merge, and software security best practices.
Superb communication, leadership and relationship management skills, which enable partnering with and influencing key team members in an open, collaborative environment at all levels in an organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to succinctly present sophisticated subject matter, specifically translating technology topics to a business audience.
Highly motivated and energetic self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, self-starting environment.
Experience working within project teams and meeting project schedule timelines.
Strong attention to detail and excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Passion for using technology to solve business problems and a ‘can-do’ collaborative attitude.

A background check will be conducted prior to employment.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
This position has been classified as exempt.
The position is based in Washington, D.C. may be based remotely but must be able to travel to NERC offices, if needed. Reimbursement of travel expenses will be in accordance with the company’s travel and expense reimbursement policies.
