Responsibilities
Understand overall project contractual requirements, client expectations, resource availability, priorities and goals, risk management, and overall scope of work.
Must have knowledge of aerial, buried, underground and MDU building design, and inside wiring.
Support the design and engineering process by planning and preparing drawings for construction of new or rearrangement of existing fiber optic cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.
Must be able to read and understand highway/road prints, be able to identify conflicts with existing outside plant facilities, and select routing required for work projects.
Must also understand building diagrams for customer-owned conduit and conduit systems throughout the MDU building.
May be required to provide on-site construction inspection to ensure design specifications are met by the construction contractor. Further duties will include but are not limited to redlines, bore design, CAD, and make-ready analysis, field notes, pole survey, sonde conduit, locating, QC prints, butterfly drawings, and preparation of prints.

Required
A combination of education and experience are required: Bachelor's with two (2) years of experience or Associate with four (4) years of experience or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and five (5) years of experience. Industry related certifications can be used in place of experience.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
Related quality control and/or outside aerial and underground plant construction experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Works well under pressure.
Ability to walk long distances, and potentially uneven and/or less than ideal ground conditions each day with contractors.
Capable of working in all temperatures, climate and weather conditions maintaining safe work zone practices
Must have excellent communications and diplomacy skills.
Committed to and driven by quality and safety.
Ability to distinguish between general audience information and confidential information and to always maintain confidentiality.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and recognize which tasks are more urgent or require more attention.
Must have and maintain a valid driver license and a reasonable driving record.
Must be willing to travel to Ohio and Texas monthly.
