Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth security analysis and incident response for network and system events.

Develop and implement effective security measures to safeguard systems, applications, and data.

Create and manage complex queries, alerts, and dashboards using SEIM or logging tools.

Write and maintain scripts in Python and PowerShell to automate security processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security practices are in place.

Stay abreast of the latest security threats and trends, and recommend appropriate countermeasures.

Monitor and manage various security tools including EDR, IDS, WAFs, NextGen firewalls, and antivirus systems.

Required

5 years of experience in Information Security or a relevant degree focused on Information Security/Information Assurance

Heavy experience with EDR and tools

AWS experience

Strong hands-on experience with network fundamentals and common Internet protocols

Demonstrated capability in scripting and coding with Python and PowerShell

Proficiency with SEIM or logging tools, creating complex queries, alerts, and dashboards

Solid knowledge of cloud environments (AWS is a must; Azure is a plus)

Operational experience with security monitoring devices and network security tools

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

Experience with Splunk for advanced security monitoring and analysis

Proficiency in Java scripting

Experience in automation and security incident response processes

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a distinctive investigative mindset

Relevant technical security certifications like Security+, CEH, or SANS/GIAC are a plus
