Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify potential customers/suppliers, competitor activities, and industry trends using appropriate tools and software
Generate leads and qualify prospects through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored recycling solutions for customers based on their specific needs
Confidently deliver presentations to key stakeholders, showcasing our expertise in the plastic industry and our ability to meet their specific needs
Negotiate and execute deals that create maximum value
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling presentations and materials that effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients
Recognize the value of a longer selling cycle and patiently invest in relationships with customers and suppliers over long periods of time

Required

4+ years of experience in a business development, national accounts, sales, consulting, or similar role
Experience in the waste or recycling industry
Experience in prospecting and lead generation, including cold calling and networking
Ability to create and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals for customers, suppliers, and internal leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics
Willingness to travel up to 40%

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
Experience working in plastics
Strong negotiation and closing skills to secure deals and meet sales targets
