Responsibilities
Utilizes industry best practices to continuously develop and maintain a resilient, secure, scalable, and efficient cloud-hosted platform.
Provide recommendations for cloud design, infrastructure design, software development design/architecture, application frameworks, and/or interfaces.
Automate and evolve pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of code (CI/CD).
Implement tools and automation for self-service capabilities in building, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring cloud-based infrastructure.
Troubleshoot production issues, respond to after-hours escalations, and collaborate with peer organizations.
Create and deliver documentation and presentations, lead technical projects, and participate in community practices.
Follow emerging industry trends, evaluate cloud technologies, and lead disaster recovery plan testing.

Required
3-5 years of engineering experience on a major cloud platform (AWS preferred)
5+ years of experience with server administration (Linux preferred), networking or infrastructure required
Experience with AWS services: Networking: VPC / Subnets / Route Tables / VPG / Security Groups, Compute: EC2 / AutoScaling / Load Balancers, Database: RDS / Aurora / DynamoDB, Other: SQS / SNS / S3 / IAM / EKS / CloudWatch / CloudFront / Kinesis / Lambda
Advanced experience with Infrastructure and Application Monitoring concepts
Advanced experience administering Kubernetes clusters
A strong background in scripting and/or programming languages (BASH, Perl, Ruby, Python, YAML, Java, etc.)
8+ years of relevant, broad engineering experience is required
Preferred
Cloud certifications from the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Advanced knowledge in designing & implementing infrastructure-as-a-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab
Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies such as EKS, Docker, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Advanced knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.
Advanced knowledge of private cloud and hybrid cloud configurations required
Knowledge of ITSM delivery
Strong commitment to customer service and service enablement
Able to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
A desire to conceptually understand our business
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent influencing and reasoning skills; good at conflict resolution and consensus building
Experience working with third-party vendors
Understanding of Scrum Agile methodology and have worked on a Scrum team
Able to participate in on-call rotation
