Responsibilities

Engage in outbound sales activity and networking for business development standards
Conduct market research to devise strategies for generating new business
Foster client relationships through ongoing communication and repeat business
Negotiate event sales, create estimates, proposals, and upsell
Contribute to sales team goals by meeting personal quotas
Utilize reports and dashboards to ensure KPIs are met
Perform revenue forecasts and win/loss analysis
Manage customer relationships for key accounts
Create, manage, and confirm event bookings within CRM system
Act as a point of contact for key accounts during events
Monitor, track, and follow up on leads and tentative bookings
Collaborate on sales campaigns to nurture relationships and drive repeat sales
Maintain an approved vendor list for successful events
Market property-wide themed events to clients
Ensure bookings follow property guidelines
Communicate effectively with Event Hostess, Event Manager, and other departments
Maintain a calm, customer-focused demeanor and contribute to a collaborative environment
Manage an independent work schedule and demonstrate eagerness to learn new sales skills

Required

5+ years previous sales experience in hospitality, restaurant or entertainment venue focus on event sales
Strong consultative sales experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment
Excellent self-accountability for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, return guests, co-workers and management
Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes
Excellent interpersonal and people skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays and in the restaurant on an as-needed basis
Ability to travel and meet face-to-face with potential and existing guests

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Sales/Marketing or Business
