Responsibilities
Lead and manage moderately complex projects, that generally have been assigned a medium to high corporate priority, from initiation to completion, ensuring they align with business objectives and customer expectations.
Participate in negotiations with internal or external clients; assisting in the development of business plans and strategies to take advance of business opportunities.
May manage vendor relationships including conducting planning sessions with vendors and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations.
Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, budget, and facilitation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Prepare and deliver project reports and presentations to stakeholders.
Facilitate project meetings and document meeting outcomes and action items.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support commercial growth strategies.
Compile, analyze and share cross functional and customer data for business reviews.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management, utilizing the Avantor Business System.

Required
Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field preferred.
2-3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a customer-facing role.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with customers.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, & Planview products, JIRA).
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Advanced level skills in Excel & Power BI).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must be creative with solutions and react quickly to change.
Set Priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Understanding of change management challenges associated with process improvement and implementation.
Excellent presentation and selling skills are a must.
Preferred
PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
Six Sigma certification or formal training preferred.
