Responsibilities

Update and maintain product testing protocols for various product categories.

Research and develop product testing requirements for new categories.

Review and act upon product test reports and certificates of compliance.

Monitor US Federal, State, and Regional product safety regulations.

Develop training materials for vendors and cross-functional teams on product safety standards and compliance.

Conduct product audits in stores and distribution centers.

Liaise with Federal and State agencies and regulators as needed.

Required

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum 5 years experience in a corporate retail Product Safety, Integrity, & Quality role

Extensive knowledge of consumer goods test methods and testing requirements

Extensive knowledge of key US safety and chemical regulations, such as CPSIA, CA Prop 65, Children’s Products reporting rules, etc.

Experience with US FDA & State food and cosmetics regulations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle complex issues, evaluate risk, and communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner

Personable, team and service oriented. Ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external business partners

Ability to work independently and leverage resources to solve problems and deliver results in a dynamic environment

Highly organized with a keen sense of urgency

Proficient in MS office applications
