Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain all plant DCS/PLC networks, including the architecture, PLC logic programming, and HMI operator interface for production

Provide engineering/technical support to manufacturing and maintenance operations in the troubleshooting, rebuilding and repair of electrical equipment and automated systems

Streamline and maintain cybersecurity of internal process control networks with Corporate IT.

Identify and implement new control instrumentation and equipment

Lead and facilitate automation projects for continuous improvement of manufacturing operations through the design, selection, and installation of new equipment/systems as well as improvement of existing systems

Create and maintain documentation of controls equipment and systems

Facilitate implementation of process visualization software and integration with current control systems

Implement DCS/PLC upgrades as needed

Interface and troubleshoot various PLC instrumentation with new and legacy control systems

Familiar with multiple Control Systems’ hardware & software (i.e. Delta-V, Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, etc.)

Installation of various system monitoring capabilities

Build out IoT capabilities across the plant

Support efforts to develop SPC capabilities

Aid in driving best practices for automation across the plant network
