Responsibilities
Account Management for Key OEM & Tier 1 Accounts supporting product lines including Gaskets, Heat Shields, Molded Plastics and Thermal Management Products
Understand and communicate the technical value and manufacturing processes of the specified products
Understand customer markets, identifying new business opportunities to ensure sustained growth
Work closely with internal/external engineering teams to develop cost effective design proposals
Work closely with internal manufacturing plants and finance to develop costs and quotation strategy
Strategic analysis of accounts profitability, identify and execute on profit improvement opportunities
Negotiate with customers on pricing, material protection, and other important matters (quality, delivery, timing, etc).
Build relationships with customers at different levels, departments, and locations
Maintain accurate Revenue Forecast (+/- 5%) for the account
Oversee accounts receivable activity, escalating and resolving payment issues with customer
Maintain current knowledge of competitor’s activity and significant changes.
Responsible for customer metrics for represented products (quality, warranty, etc)
Represent OEM & Tier 1 as voice-of-the-customer within Dana
Develop understanding of market trends and Dana capabilities to develop a long-term growth strategy

Required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive, Commercial vehicle or Off-Highway environment
Strong understanding of technical products, manufacturing processes and market knowledge
Proven success in managing customer relationships
Previous success in problem solving including ability to identify and resolve issues within a cross-functional team
Demonstrated strong business acumen including knowledge of manufacturing, finance and marketing
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner
Domestic / International travel as required to support customer activities
Strong computer skills, including experience with MS Office software and other types of specific business management software.
Strong negotiating skills
Bachelor degree in business, engineering or marketing required. Equivalent may be considered
Preferred
Master’s degree (MBA) a plus
