Responsibilities

Provide structural analysis, repairs, painting, and general upkeep for shipboard systems.
Assist in repairing and maintaining electrical, electronic, and RF communications equipment.
Execute tasks of moderate to high complexity with little to no supervision.
Interpret technical drawings and execute specific tasks accordingly.
Travel to job sites as required and perform other assigned duties.
Handle moving and un-crating of equipment, installation of electronic equipment, ducts, cableways, cables, lagging, and use of power tools.

Required

Position requires High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a related field.
Formal electronics training from a Class A or C military school in electronics or communications desirable.
Experience working with C4ISR Systems.
Experience in electronic systems troubleshooting and repair, including both shipboard and shore stations.
Experience with electronic engineering drawings, technical publications and manuals.
Experience with electronic system operations, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and repair and supply support of electronic distribution systems.
Knowledge of connector fabrication, soldering, cableway or telecommunications training such as BICSI, 3M, IPC, or NAVSEA instruction is a plus.
Must be a US citizen.

Preferred

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance preferred.
OSHA-10 Maritime and VSRA preferred.
