Responsibilities
Supervises day-to-day shelter operations, including housing, facility maintenance, meal preparation, transportation, and assistance services.
Coordinates program facilities maintenance, repairs, and security.
Reviews incident reports, client needs, and program services delivery.
Collaborates with social services staff for crisis intervention services.
Develops and communicates program procedures and policies.
Prepares for and coordinates program audits, formulates corrective actions.
Supervises program activities like counseling, case management, and life skill classes.
Maintains accurate records and statistics, prepares reports for funders.
Attends community meetings, provides leadership, and builds partnerships.
Responds to billing questions, carries a caseload when necessary, assists with emergency intakes.
Attends conferences for personal and professional development.

Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human services, psychology, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, or related field required.
Requires a valid state driver's license
Requires state driving privileges.
Must complete Safe from Harm, CPR, and First Aid training within 60 days of employment.
Knowledge of general social work principles and available resources
Knowledge of social services procedures, practices, and methods
Knowledge of social services related to federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations relating to provision of homeless services.
Knowledge of case management methods and techniques
Knowledge of services offered by the county and other local public and private community-based service agencies
Skills in interpreting and implementing local, state, and federal regulations that govern homeless services
Skills in explaining and advocating for the needs of children, families, the elderly, disabled adults and the impoverished
Skills in demonstrated leadership
Skills in excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
Abilities in adaptability
Abilities in building partnerships
Abilities in building trust
Abilities in communication
Abilities in decision making
Abilities in delegating responsibility
Abilities in managing conflict
Preferred
Master’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
