Responsibilities
Design Culture: Model and foster a culture of accountability. Model and foster a “leading with curiosity” mentality. Support a culture of knowledge-sharing. Ensure design excellence through your own professional development, skills assessment, and model the Insidesource design culture.
Creative Experience Engagement: Engage with the A+D and client community through design-led experiences, professional affiliations, and ongoing project-based support. Manage and maintain project workload summary. Partner cross-functionally to execute project strategy, programming, and solutions development.
Creative Experience Leadership: Collaborate with Creative Director and other team members to model best practices. Work closely with Design and Sales leaders to expand professional and creative development. Mentor Sales and Design team through project engagements. Participate in major sales presentations.
Design Process and Tools: Collaborate with other functional design leaders to optimize and document design workflow. Develop, standardize, and implement new design tools and systems. Participate in vendor presentations and trainings to expand product and technical knowledge.
Design Practice Leadership: Participate in cross-functional Practice Leader forum. Serve as a design “diplomat” to translate design process and methodologies. Collaborate with enterprise, regional, and department leadership on best practices. Provide thought leadership in company meetings.
Project Delivery: Assume responsibility for the overall completion of projects. Identify project risks and offer creative solutions. Manage design project budgets and contracts. Champion design operational excellence. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Required
Design firm experience preferred.
Understanding of and/or working on RFPs.
Furniture product and specification knowledge.
Excellent and effective visual, oral, and written communication skills.
Advanced understanding of the design dealership model.
Ability to assess, audit, and identify gaps and opportunities in process.
Proven ability to design process and develop change management strategies.
Effective leadership and mentoring skills.
Effective collaborator with leadership, team members, and other departments.
Outstanding project management/organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction; ability to collaborate under tight deadlines in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
Proficiency in Smartsheet and other organizational communications tools.
Proficiency in CET + Specification Software.
Ability to explore emerging software and technology tools in support of design development and visualization.
Fluid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact effectively with a wide range of personnel and departments.
Ability to see the big picture and integrate into day-to-day tasks and activities.
Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in business transactions, and to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
