Responsibilities
Support division and underlying offices by providing accurate data for decision-making and functional activities.
Maintain analytical tools, reporting, and dashboards ensuring accuracy and consistency of key data sets.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends and correlations, provide insights, and recommend areas for improvement.
Produce standard and customized reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc requests based on business needs.
Assist in continual process improvements by researching methods to automate and streamline processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders across campus to maintain alignment with the university's data strategy.

Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Statistics, Business Analytics, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Five (5) years of experience in Data Analysis preferably in an academic setting
Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make effective decisions
Preferred
Prior experience in data management and/or business intelligence software such as SAS, Tableau or Power BI
Experience in maintaining and creating documentation and effectively explaining requirements
Project Management Experience
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Able to manage confidential data professionally
Experience with statistical modeling and descriptive statistics
Reporting and data analytics experience
Requires knowledge of and practical application of testing methodologies and experience
Understanding of interdependencies between various systems and downstream impact design, development, and testing
Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic and self-directed
Strong analytical, process mapping, and procedural documentation skills
Strong problem-solving skills (critical, strategic, and evaluative thinking)
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with querying data, data interpretation and report generation
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel, PeopleSoft, Nolij)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
