Responsibilities

•Software Development: • Design, develop, and install software solutions to build information systems

•Problem Investigation: • Investigate and respond to requests for additional functionality

•Operational Feasibility: • Evaluate analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions to determine operational feasibility

•Needs Assessment: • Study information needs, confer with users, and analyze systems flow, data usage, and work processes to develop software solutions

•System Specifications: • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming

•Operations Improvement: • Conduct systems analysis and recommend changes in policies and procedures to improve operations

•Documentation: • Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code to document and demonstrate solutions

•Information Security: • Protect operations by keeping information confidential

•Issue Analysis: • Collect, analyze, and summarize development and service issues

•Technical Leadership :• Serve as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, and detailed design to scoping, planning, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance

•Additional Duties: • Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Programming Language: C#

Database Management: MS SQL Server

Must be local to the San Jose area

Extensive Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development

Educational Background: B.S. or higher degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or a related field

Effective Communication: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers

Autonomous Decision-Making: Able to work autonomously with attention to detail and quality, using analysis, rationality, usability, and objectivity to make decisions, and anticipating the consequences of judgments

Adaptability: Adept at finding solutions and delivering results within a fast-changing, technology-driven culture, willing to embrace and master multiple diverse technologies

Professional Practices: Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
