Responsibilities
Prepare estimates on new projects and estimate prices on change orders on existing contracts.
Read and interpret job bid instructions. Evaluates all contract documents including all bid drawings, specifications, general conditions and if necessary, the project site.
Quantifies number of shop and detailing hours to fabricate structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
Determines scope of work for our trade and determines vague areas to qualify bids. Develops comprehensive, detailed proposal for the project estimated.
Posts bid negotiations with client and staff to determine final scopes of work and assigns values to items that may be revised or deleted.
Posts bid “value engineering”.
Oversee and review milestones of project through bid, detailing, purchasing, fabrication, and shipment.
Keep logs up to date, meet or beat budget, stay on schedule, and keep to your scope.

Milestone project bid detailing: 1 year
Purchasing fabrication shipment: 1 year
