Responsibilities

Determines relevancy of data and identifies alternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business owners and technical associates can be completed.

Analyzes large, complex data to determine actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools.

Performs research on the root cause of data anomalies that are uncovered through the normal course of analysis.

Writes complex SQL to query large data platforms such as Teradata, SQL server, Oracle, and Hadoop to obtain data necessary for analysis. Combines data as needed from disparate data sources to complete analysis.

Designs and develops data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.

Produces a variety of reports, graphs, summaries, and presentations that convey analytic results and align with business needs.

Identifies and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets to guide business decisions.

Conducts ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by stakeholders.

Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Has strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Communicates with the team when issues with ticketing are found and interacts with the BNOC team to ensure the accuracy of the reporting.

Attends work regularly, punctually, and may need to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required

Strong experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau. Able to create new custom reports and modify existing reports as needed using the Tableau reporting tool.

Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Performs research on root cause of data anomalies that are uncovered through normal course of analysis.

Writes complex SQL to query large data platforms such as Teradata, SQL server, Oracle and Hadoop to obtain data necessary for analysis. Combines data as needed from disparate data sources to complete analysis.

Follows best practices and established policies in business intelligence data analysis, maintenance, and data quality.

Design and develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate data insights to stake holders.

Produces a variety of reports, graphs, summaries, and presentations that convey analytic results and align with business needs.

Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to guide business decisions.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Preferred

Must have a very strong knowledge of Tableau.

Must have strong SQL knowledge and how to build SQL queries.

Must have a very strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
