Responsibilities

Lead the design, customization, and configuration of the LIMS software to align with Baylor Genetics’ laboratory workflows, data requirements, and reporting needs.

Design, develop and maintain custom modules, data entry UI, and scripts to automate tasks and integrate the LIMS with other laboratory instruments and systems including automation liquid-handling systems.

Manage the underlying database structure of the LIMS, including schema design, optimization, and data migration.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to LIMS team, laboratory staff, troubleshoot issues and address user inquiries related to LIMS functionality.

Stay updated with LIMS software updates and enhancements, test new features, and implement upgrades as needed.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for customizations, configurations, mapping workflows (such as: SOPs, User Guides, Training Materials, Test Plans, Validation Documents).

Ensure that the LIMS systems complies with industry regulations, standards, and data security protocols.

Project priorities could change and at that time, we expect the duties/responsibilities to re-align to company’s latest strategic priorities.
