Responsibilities

Manages a number of engineers, providing mentorship and support
Monitors progress of ongoing projects and sets priorities of individuals when appropriate
Predicts and identifies potential future pitfalls and drives measures to mitigate risk

Assists the Development Manager with the recruiting process as needed

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience creating and shipping software
Experience leading a team of engineers
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of the Magic: The Gathering comprehensive rules
Experience working with and improving large, legacy systems
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people in various roles
Comfort working in a fully remote environment, with potential for an office environment in the future
Ability to work on computer or phone for long periods of time
