Responsibilities
Automation specialist working with Terraform and Ansible or other tools for automating environment and individual VM builds.
Utilize Terraform and Ansible, or other approved tools, to automate the provisioning and configuration of environments and individual VMs.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to ensure repeatable and consistent deployments.
Manage Terraform and Ansible scripts and configurations within Azure DevOps, ensuring seamless integration and version control.
Document all automation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Generate and deliver regular reports on automation performance and issues to stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for improving automation processes and tools.
Support development team with the implementation and maintenance of environments within Azure.
Ensure accurate controls are in place and implemented on implementation and there is an ability to maintain these controls going forward in accordance with Cloud Security Standards.
Collaborate with customer's team members to identify and resolve issues and discrepancies.
Build complete landscape copies to support development, testing, and QA requirements.
Ensure these copies are accurate and meet the needs of the respective teams.
Collaborate with Development team to ensure a smooth handoff and ongoing management of these automation tools.
Proactively monitor automated processes and promptly address any issues that arise.
Work with relevant teams to troubleshoot and resolve automation-related problems.
Facilitate the transition of automation responsibilities to the operational support team post-migration.
Carry out migration tasks according to the project plan and schedule.
Provide troubleshooting, support, and performance optimization for systems and environments during migration to cloud.
Support transition to Operations and hyper care and ensure a successful transition and handover to the operations team.
Provide dedicated support during the post-transition period.
