Responsibilities

Build and maintain complex, interconnected web services in public cloud environments.

Understand how to monitor services and triage and repair services in live production environments.

Demonstrate a firm understanding of best practices for REST API design with a microservice architecture.

Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and conduct regular audits of services for various aspects.

Act as liaisons and DevOps evangelists to other service teams.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

5 years of experience in a computer-related occupation

5 years of experience in Java and the Java technology ecosystem

Backend application development using Python, Java, REST API and NoSQL solutions

AWS cloud platform experience

Scalability and availability in distributed systems

Configuration and orchestration using Ansible

Cloud based serverless frameworks including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation

Continuous integrations tools including Jenkins
