Responsibilities

Evaluates Mattress/Peak build plans to ensure correct product production.

Plans effective use of equipment and personnel based on sales volume and inventory levels.

Assigns work orders to support production flow.

Verifies L2L data input accuracy with Line Managers.

Completes inventory moves and audits production bins for accuracy.

Identifies areas for improvement using data and coordinates improvement efforts.

Monitors attendance files for accuracy and ensures safety and HR policies are followed.

Executes staffing plans and partners with HR in recruiting and onboarding.

Facilitates meetings, reports throughput numbers, and goals to upper management.

Leads, motivates, and trains Line Managers and production teams.

Applies 5S principles and champions Continuous Improvement.

Conducts 1 on 1 sessions with Line Managers, participates in Gemba walks, and engages with employees.

Ensures quality in all processes, confirms proper shift changeovers, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Remains on the production floor until all duties are completed.

Required

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience

2+ years managing a production line and team using Lean principles

Lean Manufacturing certification or commensurate experience

Experience successfully leading a large production team

In-depth understanding of production principles and general plant operations

Capability to establish production goals, and methods to reach goals

Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience

High School diploma or GED

Preferred

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

5S Concepts Certification

Proficient in Microsoft Office
