Responsibilities

Expertise in Guidewire with knowledge in specific tech stacks, systems configurations, and customizations.

Develop Guidewire cloud concepts, support cloud platform/applications, and hands-on experience in GOSU, PCFs, Business Rules, etc.

Coach and influence engineering peers, upgrade team members' skills, evaluate competencies, and simplify design for reuse.

Lead incident responses, provide technical documentation, and develop complex platform software.

Automate preventive and corrective routines, monitor performance metrics, encourage technology innovation, and replicate best practices.

Partner with stakeholders on process improvement initiatives and ensure ITSM ITIL practices are followed.

Provide technical guidance, support on platform capabilities, and develop and deploy platform software.

Communicate progress status with stakeholders, automate routines for platform maintenance, and enhance current systems and processes.

Implement organizational process improvement initiatives and explore ways to enhance system effectiveness.

Required

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineer or equivalent

Strong communication skills required

4+ years of hands-on software development experience with Guidewire and good understanding of GWCP

Experience in ensuring ITSM ITIL Practices are followed such as Incident management, Problem Management, Change Management

Experience practicing Agile development methodologies

Hands-on development proficiency in one of: Java, Gosu, ReactJS, C++, Python or one of these derivatives

At least 1 full SDLC cycle (inception -> development -> post go live)

P&C Insurance experience

Experience with Guidewire enterprise technology implementation

Guidewire ACE certified

Understand Cloud Technologies and experience in leading Cloud programs

Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum enabler technologies (Jira, Rally, GIT)
