Responsibilities
Design and configure SharePoint sites and libraries to optimize document storage and retrieval for OCR processed content.
Develop and implement workflows that leverage OCR capabilities to automatically extract text from uploaded documents and populate relevant SharePoint metadata fields.
Integrate third-party OCR services or develop custom OCR solutions using Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services or other suitable platforms.
Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the OCR process, monitoring and troubleshooting any errors or inconsistencies.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand document processing needs and translate them into effective SharePoint solutions.
Maintain and update existing SharePoint configurations related to OCR functionalities.
Stay current on the latest advancements in SharePoint and OCR technologies.
Ensure security and compliance are maintained in accordance with HIPAA.

Required
Proven experience as a SharePoint Engineer with a strong understanding of SharePoint Online and on-premises versions (if applicable).
Solid knowledge of OCR concepts and functionalities.
Experience with building SharePoint workflows, preferably using Power Automate.
Excellent understanding of information architecture and metadata management principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
Experience with integrating third-party OCR services or developing custom OCR solutions using Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services (preferred).
